Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 June 2026
These terms govern your use of CertificationJourney. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
CertificationJourney provides independent exam preparation — study material, practice questions and mock exams. It is operated by Shahir Sherali, trading as CertificationJourney. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Scrum.org, Microsoft, PeopleCert/AXELOS, CompTIA or AWS. Any course certificate you earn here is proof of preparation only — it is not an official certification, which you obtain by taking the official assessment with the relevant provider.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for the accuracy of your details and for keeping your account secure. You must be at least 16 to use the service.
3. Purchases and access
Course prices are shown in euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes where required. A paid course gives you access for the stated period (currently 1 month per course). Payments are handled by Stripe; we don’t see or store your card details.
4. Right of withdrawal & refunds (EU)
As a consumer in the EU/EEA you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for a distance purchase. A course is digital content supplied immediately, so at checkout we ask you — with a separate checkbox, before you pay — to expressly consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the course is made available. We confirm this consent to you by email and keep a record of it.
This means that, once a course has been made available to you, the purchase is non-refundable — this protects the study material, which we cannot un-share once it has been accessed. If you have not yet accessed the course, you may still withdraw and receive a full refund within 14 days. Your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected: if the content is faulty or materially not as described, you remain entitled to a remedy regardless of this clause. For anything else, we may offer a refund at our discretion — contact support.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the service for your own personal study.
- Don’t share, resell, scrape or redistribute our content or your account.
- Don’t post unlawful, infringing or abusive content in the community — including real or leaked exam questions (“brain dumps”), which we strictly prohibit (see Our questions).
6. Our intellectual property
All lessons, questions, explanations and branding are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study while your access is active.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post in the community, but grant us a licence to host and display it within the service. You’re responsible for what you post, and we may moderate or remove content that breaches these terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep our material accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that you will pass any official exam. Study outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including your mandatory consumer rights).
10. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes fall under the courts of The Hague (Rechtbank Den Haag), without affecting your mandatory consumer-law rights.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll update the date above and notify you of material changes. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
